Julie Jakopic currently serves as Chair of Virginia's List, a political action committee whose mission is to elect progressive women to the Virginia General Assembly and statewide elected office. Julie spent much of her professional career working with low-income families and communities, leading her to be a professional advocate and Democratic civic activist. She has held a number of community and Democratic Party leadership roles, and in 2015, after being involved in a variety of local and state campaigns (of Del. Rob Krupicka, Del. Charniele Herring, Sen. Adam Ebbin, Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam, Gov. Terry McAuliffe and others), she took on the challenge to run for Delegate.

While she did not prevail, she has turned that experience into helping other women win through Virginia’s List. Professionally, Julie leads iLead Strategies, a consulting firm helping leaders create workplaces that work for their employees, deliver outstanding results for customers and drive real impact in the world.
