For Virginia House of Delegates, District 51

Hala Ayala was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in the fall of 2017. A longtime Democratic and community activist in Northern Virginia, Hala took the plunge herself and ran last year for a seat few expected her to win. A cybersecurity specialist by trade, Hala is the founder and former President of the Prince William County Chapter of the National Organization of Women, and served on Gov. McAuliffe’s Council on Women.

We were excited to be an early supporter of Hala’s as she knocked off a 4-term Republican incumbent in November to become one of the first Latina women to ever serve in the Virginia General Assembly.
